Two New Betas: Dashboards and Motion
Announced on October 8, 2026, Claude Dashboards (beta on paid plans) connects to your company data — Redshift, BigQuery, ClickHouse, Databricks, Snowflake, plus Salesforce and other connectors — and turns plain-language questions into live dashboards. Each chart shows the query behind it and the last data refresh, so the numbers stay auditable. Dashboards can hand off to tools like Amplitude, Grafana, Hex, Mixpanel, Omni, Perplexity, PostHog, and Sigma, with Looker, monday.com, and Tableau listed as coming. Claude Motion (beta on Team and Enterprise; Enterprise admins must enable it) takes a different approach to video: type "/motion" in the Claude message box and Claude writes code that animates your own text, charts, shapes, and images into an editable animated explainer, downloadable as MP4.
Motion Uses No Video-Generation Model
The detail that matters most for prompt writers: Claude Motion involves no video-generation model at all. The animations contain no generated footage and no AI-generated people — everything animated is an asset you supply. After the first version, any word, number, or timing can be changed in the editor or by asking Claude. Finished animations open in Adobe, Descript, HeyGen, Higgsfield, invideo, Luma AI, and Runway, with Canva and Captions coming soon. Anthropic's own examples: a quarterly report turned into a 30-second all-hands explainer, a board-deck chart brought to life, and a customer-onboarding product walkthrough.
Docs, Slides, Design Go Generally Available
Alongside the launches, Claude Docs, Slides, and Design left beta and are now available on every plan including Free. Anthropic says users have created more than 45 million docs, decks, and designs. Note the sunset date: the standalone Claude Design site closes on December 14, 2026, and Anthropic has published a migration guide for moving work into Claude.
